KATHERINE GUN (Portrayed by Keira Knightley)

Former GCHQ Linguist, 2003 Iraq War wistleblower - is a British former translator for the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and an Iraq War whistleblower. In 2003, she leaked top-secret information to the press concerning illegal activities by the United States of America in their push for the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Some of these activities include the US National Security Agency's eavesdropping operation on countries tasked with passing a second United Nations resolution on the invasion of Iraq.

MARTIN BRIGHT (Portrayed by Matt Smith)

Martin Bright worked at the Observer for nine years, first as Education Correspondent and latterly as Home Affairs Editor, where he worked on major stories about crime, prisons, national security and immigration. In 2005 he moved to the New Statesman as Political Editor, where he covered the intense period up to the financial crash of 2008
